Shipping & Delivery Schedule

Orders may be placed at any time during the year. We will continue to accept orders from zones 3 through 5 (colder areas) until September 14th. Any orders received from zones 3 through 5 after this date will be processed for the next shipping period. All orders from zones 6 through 9 (warmer areas) will be accepted until October 31st. All orders are processed based on a first come first serve basis, while quantities last. Please order early if you wish to reserve plants.

Our bare-rooted plants are shipped with planting instructions at the appropriate planting time for your area. We begin shipping our plants in the second week of September to zones 3 through 5, and will ship to these zones through September. We will ship to zones 6 through 9 until mid November, weather permitting.

Idlewild Farm Inc. makes every effort to process your orders in a timely manner. We ship your orders on Monday and Tuesday via UPS,USPS or Federal Express. We do not ship on Saturday and Sunday or the holidays. Occasionally, we may have items that are out of stock. In case of a delay in shipping your products, we will contact you to inform you on the status of your order. Currently we can only accept orders for the 48 contiguous United States. We also do not ship plants to APO and FBO and P.O. Box addresses.

** Please note items that are ordered at the same time may not be processed and ship in the same order. Certain plants are only available for fall shipping at the appropriate planting time for your area.

**Please note that severe weathers may delay the shipment of live plants. The shipping schedule should only be use as a guide.

As a special service to our customers, for delivery of certain rare plant goods, we will try to accommodate your shipping date request with specific arrival date. Please make to have someone available at home when the plants are delivered to your address. If no one is present, the package will be left at the door. In case of inclement weathers, we might not be shipped plants as previously scheduled. In that situation, we will send you or the intended recipient a notification.
